Aperture and The New School are pleased to announce our first panel discussion of the season: “The Obsolescence of the Photographic Object.” This compelling and timely discussion, which is part of an ongoing lecture series entitled Confounding Expectations: Photography in Context, focuses on the shift from physical images to intangible ones in the digital age. Moderated by Mia Fineman, curator of photography at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the panel discussion includes artists Leslie Hewitt, Miranda Litchtenstein and Mark Wyse.
