This Friday is Art for Soul: JAPAN

"Artwork as a vessel; able to convey it’s creators’ emotions, subconscious thoughts, passions and perhaps pure intention should be considered one of our greatest tools as artists. The finished piece an acknowledgement to the efforts of an ambition to connect. By stripping the artwork of their labels and artists’ identities, we create that same bare level of communication purely between the art and it’s personal audience. Allow a dialogue between yourself and a singular piece of unlabeled art that boasts an affordable and identical price tag to all of it’s counterparts in this exhibit. Acknowledging that both you as the viewer and the art as it stands on it’s own are here for the same reason: to contribute to something greater. Not to a singular artist, an art collective, the media or selfish intentions, but beyond that into a persons’ capacity for charity and generosity. Reaching outside of yourself as the artist and the audience, allowing for each piece to contribute directly to a positive impact on something more significant than the individual.

Dear friends,

I hope this email finds you well, and that you are able to attend this art opening Friday night, April 29th from 6-9 pm that I have been lucky enough to to be involved with. We are raising money for the Red Cross Japan efforts; all the artwork has been donated by the artists and everything has the same price tag of $100. 90% of it will go to the Red Cross, 10% to the gallery for hosting the event. It is a one night show, and we will have live music by Yukari Roja. There is a $5 suggested donation at the door.

Thank you!
