After a smashing success at the Festival of Ideas for the New City at the New Museum in Manhattan, the Bushwick Art Park returns to its Brooklyn home for a one day community event hosted by Trust Art, Factory Fresh, and Norte Maar on Saturday, June 4th, 1-7pm.
At 2:30pm, we will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony with NYC Council Member Diana Reyna, who has been at the forefront of the effort to increase and improve available park space in North Brooklyn, as well as Reverend Billy.

The Art Park, located on Vandervoort Place off the Morgan Ave L stop, will feature works previously showcased at the Festival of Ideas for the New City StreetFest in May 2011, and expand into a Sculpture Garden featuring sculptures by Bast, Leon Reid IV, Specter, Skewville, Ben Godward, Infinity, Garry Nichols and El Celso; a political podium by Seth Aylmer, a new mural by Veng, and an installation by Legacy Russell (who you will be hearing more about soon!).
We invite guests to enjoy the fresh air and local views surrounded by outdoor sculptures, and sign our petition to transform Vandervoort Place into a permanent public art park and sculpture garden.
