Mavi, the international denim brand's announces "What's Your Brooklyn" art competition is now open for submissions!
The art competition is welcoming local New York based artists to submit their designs on what Brooklyn means to them. The winning submission will be painted as a full-sized scale mural on the side wall of Mavi's 205 5th Avenue, Park Slope, Brooklyn store front!
New York based artists are welcomed to submit their "What's Your Brooklyn" designs beginning Today, May 12th until June 6th. Brooklyn jurors, including Eric Adams, Brooklyn Borough President, Michael Conklin, editor in chief of Brooklyn Magazine and Lisa Small, Curator of Exhibitions at the Brooklyn Museum, will then come together during the week of June 9th to select the winner.
The competition will be performed in celebration of the communities of Brooklyn. In order to kick off the unveiling of the winner's painted mural, Mavi will host a fun-filled Saturday afternoon on June 21st. The family oriented event with host drinks and snacks along with fun games for the family all in celebration of the mural's unveiling!
