We are proud to announce that the Local Roots NYC, a vibrant food hub that connects New Yorkers to local foods is launching their first brick and mortor operation in the Seaport District. The Local Roots NYC General Store is part of the Fulton Stall Market, a community marketplace for local foods and more.
The store features high quality small batch products made by fellow New Yorkers, members of the Local Roots CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), and residents of the Seaport. The General Store also features fresh, sustainable produce straight from New York's nearest farms and vegetables are based on a “pay what you want” model” to increase food access in a neighborhood that is an increasingly diverse demographic.
Every Thursday, residents can pick up pre-paid, farm fresh groceries at the store through their innovative CSA program, which boasts a unique variety of organic vegetables, pasture eggs, artisanal cheese, cured meats, handmade granolas, all-natural beauty products, and more. Throughout the week, you might even see your farmer dropping off produce to the General Store.
